Naadan Chicken Curry
Ingredients:
Chicken : 1 kg.
Onions : 4 nos
Green Chilly : 6 nos
Tomatoes : 2 nos
Curry leaves : 3-4 sprigs
Ginger garlic paste / crushed : 1 ½ tbsp
Red Chilly Pdr : 2 tsp
Coriander Pdr : 3 tsp
Pepper pdr : 1 tsp
Turmeric Pdr : 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder : 1 ½ tsp
Fennel seed powder (Perumjeerah ): ½ tsp
Cardamom : 1/4 tsp
Coconut milk : 1 ½ cups
Coconut oil : 2 tbsp
Method:
Clean the chicken pieces. Slice the onions, slit green chillies, crush the ginger garlic.keep aside.
Heat oil, sauté the onion and then add garlic and ginger ,green chillies and add the curry leaves sauté till light brown in colour.Mix all spice powders(coriander,chilly,turmeric) one by one. Add the cubed tomatoes and sauté for some time, till the oil start separate. Then add the chicken and garam masala and salt and mix well with the gravy.
Add the skimmed coconut milk to the gravy and when the gravy starts to boil, reduce the flame and cook covered, stirring in between till the chicken is well cook.. Lastly, add thick coconut milk with cardamom powder and fennel powder. When it starts to boil remove from fire. Tasty nadan chicken curry ready.
Serve hot.
