Dal Curry (Parippu Kuthi Kachiyathu)
This Parippu curry is typically a Kerala dish (Thrissur style) More Simple & Easy-to-Cook .
Ingredients
Toor daal(sambar parippu)-1 cup
Crushed dry red chilly -2 tsp
Tomato-1/2 small(optional)
Curry leaves-1 string
Small Onion -6
Salt-to taste
Coconut Oil-2tsp
Method
Soak dal for 10 minutes ..
Wash thoroughly..
Pressure cook dal and tomato along with water and salt ..One whistle is enough..
Heat oil in a kadai and add onion and then crushed chilly and curry leaves ..Saute them well in medium flame…
And then add the cooked dal …Mix well and allow the curry to boil for 2mins …
Check the salt.
Simple but yummy dal curry is ready with in no time ..Serve it with rice along with curd and pickle..
You can also make daal curry without tomato with the same recipe..
