Soya chunks fry is a healthy & tasty side dish for rice & all type of roties... It's a better replacement for meat dishes.
Ingredients:-
Soya chunks. - 250 gm
Onion - 2 medium
Ginger/Garlic. - 1tbsppaste
Coconut pieces - optional
Tomato. - 1 medium
Green chilly. - 2 nos
Whole spices. - 1 tsp
Chilly powder. - 1tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Fennel powder. - 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder. - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt. - 1/2 tsp
Method:-
Soak soya chunks in hot water . After 20 min drain it & cook in boiling water with some turmeric powder and salt. Drain it & squeeze the extra water & keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan. Splutter the whole spices first.Put the sliced onion , ginger garlic paste & chilly together & fry for some time. When the onion becomes transparent put tomato. Mix it well & put all the powders. When nice smell comes put the soya chunks , mix well and keep covered for some time in sim mode. After 5 min we can switch off the flame n sprinkle with plenty of curry leaves . serve hot with any rice dishes or Chappathi or parathas...
