Schezwan Chicken



Schezwan  chicken is one of the popular appetizer from the Indo chinese cuisine.
An easy and delicious chicken starter that can be made under 30 minutes

Ingredients:
Schezwan Sauce - 1/4 cup
Water - 4 tbsp
Oil for deep frying
Coriander leaves / Cilantro - 3 tbsp chopped for garnishing

For Marination:
Chicken - 250 grams Cubed( Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast)
Chilli flakes - 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Pepper Powder - 1 tsp (If you have schezwan pepper use that)
Garlic - 1 tbsp minced
Soya sauce - 1 tbsp
Cornflour / Cornstarch - 4 tbsp

Method:

Take chicken in a bowl and add all the marination ingredients. Give a a mix and let it sit for 5 mins.
Heat oil for frying and deep fry the chicken for 5 to 7 mins till golden and completely cooked. Drain on a paper towel.
Now heat a wok or frying pan. Add in schezwan sauce and water. Mix that well and let it heat up.
Once it is heated add in the fried chicken pieces and toss well in the sauce to coat the chicken.
Once the chicken is coated and completely heated, add in the coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve with fried rice..
