  Mutton Pepper Curry

Mutton curry cooked in Kerala style is a special aromatic dish that goes well with almost anything . It is yummy, spicy and very tempting....

Ingredients to marinate:
Mutton- 1/2 kg
Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
Chilly powder- 1 tsp
Lemon juice- 1 tsp
Garam masala powder- 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder- 2 tsb
Salt-to taste
Oil- 1tbsp
Other ingredients:
Oil-1tbsp
Pepper crushed-11/2 tbsp
Onion-1
Curry leaves-1 spring
Ginger garlic paste-1tbsp
Green chilly-2 to 3
Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Fennel seeds powder- 1/2 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Vinegar- ½ tsp/ tomato 1
Coriander leaves-few
Salt-to taste
Preparation:
Marinate mutton pieces with ingredients under marinating for 20 minutes.
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pressure cooker.
Add mutton pieces in to it and sauté for few minutes until mutton pieces are browned in color.
Add enough water and cooks it until mutton pieces are ¾ th cooked.
Heat oil in another pan, add crushed pepper and sauté in a low flame for a minute.
Add onions and sauté until transparent.
Add ginger, garlic and green chilly; sauté for a minute.
Add all the powder one by one in a low flame by mixing well after each addition.
Add cooked mutton pieces, curry leaves and vinegar/ tomato  in to it.
Cook for another 10-15 minutes until the curry starts thickening.
Switch off the flame and sprinkle coriander leaves.
