Spicy Suji kachori with dips of coriander chutney and tomato sauce.
Ingredients: For Coating
1.Rava(suji) - 1/2 cup
2.water -1cup
3.Ajwain -1 tsp
4.salt to taste
For filling:
1.potatoes smashed -2
2.greenchilly -3 nos or red chilly powder - 1tsp
3.chaatmasala -1-2 tsp
4. salt to taste
How to prepare:
First to prepare coating, keep a pan pour water and when it becomes warm (not to boil) put ajwain,rava and salt and stir it. When it becomes to thick consistency put off the flame and keep it aside.
Mix together all the ingredients for filling. Take a lemon size warm suji (suji should be warm otherwise it will break) fill the potato mix in this and cover it well so that the filling won't come out and press it to make a round shape.
Hot oil in a pan and deep fry the kachori. This goes well with coriander chutney and tomato sauce.
Adai Dosa and tomato chutney
Ingredients:
1: Idli Rice or Ponni rice -1 1/2 cups
2.Toor dal - 1/4 cup
3.Urad dal - 1/4 cup
4.Chana dal - 1/4 cup
5.Red chilly - 3 or 4 nos
6.Pepper corns - 1tsp
7.shredded cococnut - 2 tbsp.
8.shallots - 8-10 nos
9. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
10.Hing - a pinch
11. curry leaves
12. salt to taste
How to prepare:
Soak the 3 dals, red chilly, peppercorns together and rice separately for 4 to 5 hrs. Grind rice to a smooth paste and the other soaked ingredients (dal etc) coarsely. Take this out from the mixer and mix the rice batter and dal batter together. Add all the other ingredients into this ( shredded coconut, slit shallots, turmeric powder, hing, curry leaves and salt) and mix this well with the batter. You can make dosa immediately or after sometime.
