Falafel is a traditional Egyptian and middle eastern street food commonly served in a pita bread or can make sandwich. Falafel may also be eaten alone as snack or can be served as starter.
Ingredients:

1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight until double in size
1 medium red onion coarsely chopped
5 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1cup mix of parsley and coriander leaves
3 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tsp roasted cumin seeds
2 tsp roasted coriander seeds/ powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups vegetable oil, for frying
Method:
------
First soak and wash chick peas for 8 hours or overnight.
Now drain the water and add it to a blender. Blend it coarsely.
Now add all ingredients except oil and blend it into a coarse paste.
Cover and let in rest for 30min. Shape into falafel and fry in medium to hot oil until brown and crisp on the outside and well cooked inside. Falafel ready...Served along with HUMMUS...
Note :
If need add 2 tsp of rice flour for binding.
